Performance Update

Here is the May 2022 Performance Update:

Continued to see a sea of red for robo advisors and benchmark indices in May 2022, but it was less severe than April 2022. The 2 new entrants held 2 extreme ends of the performance continuum, MoneyOwl the lowest loss and SquirrelSave the highest loss. Other than SquirrelSave, the remaining 4 robo advisors managed to beat the benchmark indices.

Key Observations

  1. All 5 robo advisors suffered lower losses in May 2022, MoneyOwl the least, and SquirrelSave the worst.
  2. Except SquirrelSave, the remaining 4 robo advisors managed to beat the 3 benchmark indices.
  3. Only Endowus retained positive XIRR since inception, but S&P 500 took the crown.
